Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Seeking a Mechanic Assistant to
work at a Machine shop in east Broken Arrow. Must have reliable
transportation and be dependable. Automotive experience, preferred.
This role is responsible for repairs and maintenance of product
line equipment according to company’s quality and safety standards.
Shift: 1st, 5am-2pm, Mon-Fri, rotating Saturdays Pay: $16-$19 per
hour, DOE Duties and Responsibilities: - Assists lead mechanic to
detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts. - Dismantle and
remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and
other components, and check parts. - Repair and replace worn and
defective parts and reassemble mechanical components. - Refer to
service manuals as needed. - Conducts preventative maintenance and
lubrication according to lead mechanic’s instructions.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous
automotive experience, preferred. - Ability to lift 50 pounds
regularly. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to work
with precision. - Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move
heavy workpieces when necessary. - Requires frequent repetitive
movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, or used screwdrivers.
- Must be willing to work overtime, as needed. - Must be
safety-conscious and able to thrive in a team setting. - Must be
