Job Description:
Seeking a rewarding hospice physician role to lead patient care
teams and improve quality of life for patients in their homes.
Provide consultation to patients, physicians, and staff to ensure
effective pain and symptom management.
Evaluate, certify, and recertify terminal prognosis at admission
and during certification periods.
Serve on the Professional Advisory Committee and conduct
educational seminars to enhance care and promote hospice
services.
Offer in-house or phone consultations for complex clinical issues
and collaborate on hospital or home visits as needed.
Requirements include an MD or DO degree, state medical license,
hospital staff membership, CPR certification, reliable
transportation, and liability insurance. Board certification in
hospice/palliative care is preferred. The role offers competitive
pay based on location and experience.
