  • Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders.
  • Records and identifies various Neurophysiology data in various settings.
  • Obtains patient history, attaches patient electrodes and operates Neurophysiology equipment, observes studies, analyzes wave graphs, and makes documentation to indicate disorders.
  • Cares for all age groups, sets-up and prepares patients for Neurophysiology studies, completes post study paperwork used to maintain patients files.
  • Adheres to hospital / departmental guidelines and judgment during patient care, attends and participates in educational, departmental, and required meetings.
  • Observes Neurophysiology data, and is willing to acquire new skills under direction of physicians, Nurse practitioner, manager, and technologists.
  • Participates in maintaining equipment and reports needed repairs to manager. Maintains clean environment including but not limited to equipment and workspaces.
    • Job Requirements
    • 1 or more years of experience in the Neurophysiology / Neurodiagnostics, Nursing, direct patient care, or other health related field required.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Additional Details
      • Ability to provide outstanding patient care.
      • Some general knowledge of physiology.
      • Cognitive and psychomotor skills required.
      • Good verbal and written communication skills that allow relaying of information in a clear, concise, and calm manner.
      • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and physicians.
      • Basic knowledge of computers.
