Overview:
Maintains professional accountability and technical support for
provision of patient care for the endoscopy patients experience.As
directed, may be preparing the endoscopy field, obtain needed
equipment uphold patient safety standards andassistthe physician
and registered nurse.Performs a variety of direct and indirect
patient care duties and may assist with special procedures as noted
on the career ladder program.These duties may range from limited to
overly complex. All duties are performed in a manner consistent
with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications (LevelIV):1+ years of Experience/Complex and
Routine Hospital Locations/ Consistently supports a 24-hour
opportunitylocation.Education:High-School Diploma or GED
arerequired. You may be asked toprovideproof of
education.Licensure:None.Certifications:American Heart Association
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Experience:- Optional Surgical or
Endoscopy tech education and/or experience.- The Endoscopy
Technologist IVis able tosuccessfully and
independentlyparticipatein all levels of complex cases, preform
high level disinfection duties AND is supports a24-hourlocation.
This coworkeris able toproficientlyparticipatein cases when there
are reduced resources available toassistand have a thorough
understanding of all the Endoscopy technology. Highest Performer
Endoscopy Technologist. Subject matter expert. Acts as primary
preceptor for other Endo Techs. May have leadership and supply
responsibilities.- Completes all competencies in previous levels in
addition to: Endoscopy Tech Advanced Technology
Competency.Other:Must understand English both written and spoken,
must be able toperform job-related functions safely and
successfully, with or without reasonable accommodation required by
federal, state, or local law.
