Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - FS /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide nursing care under general supervision for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex /n• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients /n• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments /n• Assist physicians in examination of patients and minor diagnostic procedures /n• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary /n• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products /n• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge information /n• Delegate tasks to support staff and make appropriate referrals for patient care needs /n• Maintain good working relationships with other employees /n• Respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors /n• 1 year of nursing experience required /n• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required /n• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred /n• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required /n• Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required /n• Computer skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities necessary /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center serves as the flagship teaching hospital for the state's health sciences university.
