working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Tulsa,

experience Description: The position involves working in a NICU
setting with neonates and infants. The unit has a capacity of 42
beds and a typical staffing ratio of 1:3-4. Increased acuity may
require a ratio of 1:2 or 1:1. Responsibilities include managing
feeding protocols for neonates, such as bottle, breast, and gavage
feeding. Nurses will also be required to manage placement and care
of various tubes, including oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal.
Involvement in isolation precautions and PPE usage is essential.
Nurses will provide care for infants requiring arterial line
management, central line care, and umbilical catheter management.
Administration of surfactants, steroids, and IV vasopressors is
expected. Ventilator management for different modes is part of the
role. Call is required, with a frequency of one call day per six
weeks. Weekend shifts will be scheduled every other week. Floating
to other units, such as a postpartum nursery for well babies, may
be required. The facility manages approximately 30-40 patients
daily, with the expectation of handling a wide range of neonatal
diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support is available, and the unit is
equipped for neonatal hypothermia cooling therapy. Travelers will
receive orientation and brief training specific to the unit they
