Cardiovascular Technologist Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,812 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II Profession: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40.00 Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required. License: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Certifications: One of the following Cardiovascular or Radiologic certification: - ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - CCI - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) - CCI - Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - ARRT - Radiography (R) - ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) - ARRT - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) - ARRT - Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CI) - ARRT - Sonography (S) - ARRT - Vascular Sonography (VS) Must-Have: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic specialty as defined by the ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI. Description: Under general to limited supervision and direction, this intermediate-level position can accept independent clinical and non-clinical duty assignments as necessary to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to pediatric patient populations. The purpose is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases. Maintains the competencies required to perform essential duties and responsibilities of a Level I position. Utilizing intermediate-level professional knowledge, abilities, skills, and available resources, provides safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services. Services are delivered under routine or emergent conditions in various care settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to identify and implement actions necessary to achieve the desired clinical outcomes, operational goals, and service expectations. Utilizes a variety of highly specialized imaging equipment and techniques to perform diverse diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines. Conducts post-procedure reviews independently to confirm that all required study elements are completed, documented, and that technical quality meets established department protocols and applicable accreditation standards. Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepares studies for reporting by physicians. Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance according to manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines. Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvements in care and treatments. Provides instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members. Prepares and presents in-service training pertinent to the assigned service area. Performs and/or assists with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions. Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled. Sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs. Adept in maintaining accurate records and working accurately with names, numbers, and codes. Possesses ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Exercises discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment in decision-making. Capable of multi-tasking and remaining calm in stressful situations. Demonstrates understanding of various operations, policies, and procedures. Communicates with staff, patients, and their families in a professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative manner. Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Works with minimum supervision and demonstrates attention to detail. Possesses core to intermediate-level knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology. Demonstrates understanding of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology associated with the primary and post-primary specialties. Applies core to intermediate-level theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation with limited direction and independence.
