Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,512 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: RN Oncology Infusion Clinic Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Adult Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: May be required to work 2 10-hour shifts, 1 12-hour shift, and 1 8-hour shift in a week. Weekends and holidays may be required. Open 7 days a week. Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - ACLS (American Heart Association) - Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration - Oncology Nursing Society - ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Society Must-Have: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques - Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees - Good verbal and written communication skills - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors - Some computer skills Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Administers oral, subcutaneous injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered by the physician. Consults with other medical personnel and may provide expert information about chemotherapy, side effects, etc. Provides a variety of assistance to physicians. Assumes responsibility for clinic-specific assignments. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. Assists physician during conscious sedation of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients. Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plans while in the clinic, at the time of discharge, and during continued care via phone triage. Informs patients and families of clinic procedures. Provides chemotherapy-related educational information to patients and families. Answers inquiries and provides guidance as appropriate. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to the appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Schedules patient follow-up activities related to their treatment. Assists with coordination of care by obtaining referrals and completing follow-up phone calls with patients after their clinic visits.
