Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Nephrology - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff • 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Good verbal and written communication skills required • Some computer skills required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced treatments.
