Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide nursing care for 4W Surgical Transplant unit - a mixed stepdown and acute care floor • Care for post-surgical kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients • Manage pre-transplant patients undergoing evaluation during inpatient stay • Monitor patients closely for infection, rejection, and ensure timely medication delivery • Must have travel experience and stepdown/PCU experience required • Level 1 experience required • Acute care surgical floor experience mandatory • ENT and/or Transplant experience preferred • Will not accept OR candidates • Minimum 1 year nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary • Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge planning • Delegate tasks to support staff and make appropriate referrals Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services including advanced transplant programs.
