individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect
supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of
PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs
duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our

Overview: Position: Physical Therapist Department: Mercy Rehab
South OKC Hours / Shift: Per Diem / Days, Holidays, and Weekend
Shifts Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City South, is a
36-bed rehabilitation hospital located in the southern part of
Oklahoma City at 7900 Mid America Blvd. Our rehabilitation hospital
provides care for patients 18 and over recovering from strokes,
brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic
injuries, and other conditions. Patients receive 3 hours of Therapy
every 5 out of 7 days they are at our facility. We aim to provide
the most optimal setting for rehabilitation and recovery. To
achieve this goal, we offer the following amenities: • 41,000
square feet of a modern, naturally sunlit environment to
drastically enhance our patients, families, and staff experience. •
36 private rooms • Large modern equipped Therapy Gyms including a
EKSO Skeleton NR • A complete pharmacy and in-house dialysis
capabilities • A retrofitted “Smart Car” (real car) for mobility
therapy • A large therapy courtyard with multiple therapy options
in a park like setting • A furnished Assisted Daily Living
apartment with a fully functioning kitchen and bath • A large
dining hall with buffet line and outdoor patio for patients,
physicians, co-workers, and family to enjoy. • A multitude of
family gathering and meeting areas Under the general supervision of
Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and
procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs
objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized
treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible
for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of
rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in

and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor,
Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical
Therapy. - Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy
in state of practice. - Certifications: BLS certified. Required
certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients
independently. - Preferred Experience: Six months to one year
experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients. -
Physical Requirements: - Position requires the ability to push,
pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis - Position requires
prolonged standing and walking during each shift. - Position
requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
