TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Pay Information $2,380 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support, ACLS Must-Have: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients and observes their physiological manifestations. Intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with patients and families in sharing the care plan during hospital stays and at discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures is required. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques is required. Maintains good working relationships with other employees. Has good verbal and written communication skills. Responds effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills are preferred. Preferred education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.
