Respiratory Therapist Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and caring for respiratory therapy patients, administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, and implementing and monitoring patient care plans.Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapeutic services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies, and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment, and perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of all equipment, and participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
