Job Description:
The Critical Care Transport RN role involves providing advanced
emergency and critical care during rapid patient transport by
mobile intensive care units. Responsibilities include ensuring safe
patient transfer, utilizing evidence-based nursing practices, and
promoting professionalism, autonomy, and excellence. The position
requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN
preferred), valid Ohio RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS,
and PALS at hire. Additional certifications like ITLS/PHTLS, NRP,
ATLS, CAMTS nursing certification, and EMT-P are required within
specified timeframes. Minimum of 3 years RN experience in Emergency
or Critical Care settings is required; pre-hospital/transport
experience preferred. Strong multitasking, organization,
communication skills, and basic computer knowledge are essential.
Position includes public relations and medical education duties,
with compliance to regulatory standards and ethical practices.
