Systems has an opening for a Principal Systems Engineer to join our
team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be
located in Oklahoma City, OK. Essential Functions: • Support the
certification of integrated functional capability (IFC) releases,
subsystem upgrades, and new weapon or weapon modification
integration activities • Ensure hardware/software updates comply
with conventional and nuclear safety requirements • Exceptional
communication skills both written and verbal • Maintain design
documentation and follow configuration management requirements •
Manage and lead the planning and conduct of analyses/tests
necessary to obtain nuclear and or conventional certification of
the updated configuration(s) • Identify, manage, and demonstrate
compliance with armament certification requirements • Support long
range capabilities initiative and business capture activities
regarding the armament subsystem • Familiar with armament
integration and test planning, policies and procedures. • Support
the Hardware Sustaining Engineering IPT by providing oversight of
nuclear and conventional certification requirements/tasks • Ensure
the certified status of the weapon system is maintained. Duties
will also include preparation of detailed statements of work and
program schedules, test plans, program status reporting, and Earned
Value Management System (EVMS) reporting. • Experience developing
Basis of Estimates (BOE) in coordination with support organizations

better at what we do. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science
degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
discipline and 5 years of experience OR a Master of Science degree
in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience OR a PhD in a STEM
discipline with 1 year of experience. • Must have an active DoD
Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation
completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into
Continuous Evaluation) • Must have the ability to obtain and
maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. • Experience
verifying specifications and designs through modeling and
simulation, test data processing, and/or performance analysis
Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced knowledge and understanding of
Electrical Engineering principles. • Advanced knowledge and
understanding of governing certifications, specifications, and
directives with emphasis on Air Force Instruction (AFI) 63-125, Air
Force Manual (DAFMAN) 91-118, and DAFMAN 91-119, and MIL-STD 822,
1763, 1760, 1553, 516 and 1289. • Working knowledge of multiple
engineering disciplines: aerospace, mechanical, electrical,
computer, nuclear hardness, nuclear surety, safety, materials,
and/or systems engineering (Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
preferred) • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the IFC
development and Aircraft Monitor and Control (AMAC) test process
and reporting • Experience with formal decision making processes:
risk and opportunity management, cost benefit analysis, make/buy
decisions • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
and Program Access Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 -
$139,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The application period
