Job Description Job Description WE ARE SEEKING A ROBOT TECH WITH FANUC EXPERIENCE Job Title: Robot Technician Department: Maintenance Pay: $40/hr DOE Location: Claremore, OK - Leaf Spring Manufacturing Plant Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Director of Operations Job Summary The Robot Technician is responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial robotic systems used in the manufacturing of leaf springs. This role ensures robotic cells operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime to support production goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial robots and automated equipment (e.g., FANUC) • Support robotic cells, and automated assembly lines used in leaf spring production. • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues related to robotic systems. • Perform robot teaching, touch-ups, and program modifications to improve cycle time, quality, and safety. • Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new robotic equipment and production cells. • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime and resolve issues quickly. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on robotic systems per manufacturer and plant standards. • Maintain backups of robot programs, PLC programs, and system documentation. • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), safety, and plant procedures at all times. • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, safety, quality, and productivity. • Train operators and maintenance personnel on basic robot operation and safety as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred. • 3 years of experience working with industrial robots in a manufacturing environment (automotive or heavy manufacturing preferred). • Experience with Fanuc robotics applications. • Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting (sensors, servos, drives, I/O). • Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and HMI systems. • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. • Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under production pressure. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in leaf spring, automotive suspension, or steel manufacturing environments. • Robot programming experience (FANUC etc.). • OSHA safety training or equivalent. Physical and Work Environment Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. • Work in a hot, noisy industrial environment with exposure to steel, and moving machinery. • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts as required to support production.
