Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Description: The
Senior Internal Audit Analyst plays a critical role in evaluating
and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk
management, and governance processes. This role is responsible for
conducting risk-based audits, analyzing financial and operational
data, identifying control gaps, and providing actionable
recommendations to enhance efficiency and compliance. Assists in
the development and execution of the annual audit plan. Conducts
risk-based internal audits. Assists with the creation of
standardized audit procedures, templates, and risk assessment
tools. Evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls and
compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Prepares
detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and
management responses. Performs follow-up audits to ensure
remediation of identified issues. Utilizes data analytics tools to
enhance audits and provides continuous monitoring. Provides
oversight for sales tax recovery for taxable items utilized
directly on patients. Provides guidance and support to junior audit
staff in audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting. Decision-making
involves carrying out non-routine procedures under constantly
changing conditions while following general instructions from a
supervisor. Coordinates activities of others but does not
supervise. Leads others in the same work performed without
supervisory responsibilities. Works directly with patients and/or
customers through face-to-face interaction. Collaborates with
internal and/or external customers. Interacts frequently with
individuals at Director level or above. Demonstrated leadership
potential is critical. This role is a strategic succession hire.
The selected candidate will train closely with the current Audit
Manager for approximately one year. There is an expectation to step
into a leadership role as the current manager prepares for
retirement. Candidates should view this position as a long-term
career move and be motivated to grow into leadership. Strong
internal audit experience is essential, along with the ability to
lead audits independently. Effective communication with leadership
is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate stability, flexibility,
and readiness for management responsibility. Strong understanding
of internal auditing standards and practices is required.
Proficiency in auditing tools, accounting software, and data
analytics platforms is essential. A working knowledge of billing
and reimbursement processes is beneficial. Strong verbal and
written communication skills are necessary for presenting findings
and writing reports. Candidates must be able to lead and execute
complex internal audits across operational, financial, and
compliance areas. The ability to work independently and
collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple
priorities with competing deadlines is essential. Working knowledge
of artificial intelligence and machine learning is required.
